November Happenings at The Wolkoff Garden |

Hello Members! Well, here we are in November, The Big Dig is over, and the Dahlias are drying. Work down at the barn on Thursdays is now over, until Next year. As everyone's garden is getting dug up it's time to put the Dahlias to bed for the winter. Members will meet at the barn for work detail on Wednesday the 15th. No Saturday or Thanksgiving week(end) work. Work detail resumes on Wednesday, November 29th and continues until Joe Lysik, our expert Garden Director, closes it down for the year. Joe will let you know. If you want to help out with the Holiday Arrangements, Holly Sisti could use your help at her house on December 6th, 2023. Please contact her at gardenholly16@gmail.com for her address and time to arrive.
Holiday Party! Pot Luck Dinner Thursday, December 7th, 2023 Bayard Cutting Arboretum - Upper Carriage House Set-Up is at 5:00 PM - Dinner is at 6:00 PM We welcome all friends and family! Please bring a covered dish (enough to feed 4-6 people) and/or salad. If food needs to be warm or hot, place in aluminum 1/2 tray to fit into sterno racks. No desserts please as LIDS will supply those along with all paper products and drinks. Thanks in advance to all the members who volunteer their time to help when they can. Park in the main parking lot and walk to the Upper Level of the Carriage House. (As of this posting I am not aware of any other arrangements with golf cart help, also bring a flashlight as it may be dark in spots.) Raffle and Prizes
Remember, there will be Raffles and the 50/50 raffle Grab Bag
If you want to participate in the Grab Bag, bring one gift ($20.00 value)
MIDS Holiday Party Mid-Island is also having their Holiday party at the Hort Center (where they hold the flower show) on Monday, December 4th from Noon to 3:00 PM. The Luncheon will be catered by Ivarrone (hot food) and will be delicious! Kathy Feher will be accepting the $40.00 check payment. **Please send in your check made out to MIDS by Friday the 17th deadline.
