Dear LIDS Members, Dear Members, for those of you who do not know, Teddy (Ted) Gollatz passed away on Monday, October 8th, 2023. The Long Island Dahlia Society lost a great man. Ted was a very involved member, a past president, and vice president for several years at LIDS, and had a remarkable memory of Dahlias. If you didn't have a handbook on you, Ted could tell you the class numbers on any Dahlia and the names! LIDS was lucky to have him and as his wife, Nina asked, we will keep Teddy "planted" in our hearts so he lives on forever. There is no Wake or Funeral. There will be a Celebration of his Life on November 4th, 2023. I will post all information as soon as I receive it, in regards to the place & time.
